Motorcycles are a very common type of daily transportation. Generally, there are several main types of motorcycles as follows.
1. Standard motorcycle
This type of motorcycle has the advantages of both a sport motorcycle and a cruising motorcycle, making it the best combination.
The seating position is neither forward leaning like driving a sportbike nor backward leaning like a cruising motorcycle.
The standard motorcycle seat is similar to a light motorcycle seat, with a lower position and comfortable ride, making it attractive to newcomers and veterans alike.
Standard motorcycles balance comfort and visibility, making them ideal for commuter and city riding motorcycles.
2. Sport motorcycles
Motorcycles have historically attracted people seeking high-speed excitement.
These people who want to drive their motorcycles as fast as possible choose sport motorcycles.
The most advanced cars in the industry are influenced by sportbike brands for their well-designed speed, acceleration, braking and handling performance.
Compared to other types of motorcycles, sportbikes are commonly seen on race tracks due to their greater use of aerodynamics.
Even those who have never raced before can experience the thrill of braking for a turn by attending a local motorcycle race.
Sport models are some of the fastest motorcycles in the industry.
These newest and safest sport racers often represent the top of the motorcycle brand's research, development, technology and craftsmanship, and have become regulars at the top motorcycle races.
3. Cruising motorcycles
Cruiser motorcycles have long held the top sales position in North American motorcycle sales.
Cruiser bikes are available in a wide range of models, updated in a timely manner, and designed for a comfortable driving position.
Most of today's cruisers are derived from the classic American Harley-Davidson and Indian motorcycles of the 1930s and 1940s.
The twin-cylinder engine is usually the best choice for a cruiser's powertrain, and the rider's driving position is usually semi-lean, with feet forward and hands in the middle or higher position.
This design allows the cruiser rider to ride in a very relaxed state, which makes the bike suitable for long distance riding as well.
Many people lean their bodies forward when riding motorcycles, why is that?
The main reason is to reduce wind resistance.
If you ride your body upright like an electric bike, the windward side is large and will slow you down to a certain extent.
So lying on your back on the motorcycle, the ground and center of gravity is low enough, to ensure safety, the ground is low and the center of gravity is low when lying on the car, so the success rate can increase when cornering or overtaking.
People with motorcycle riding experience know that sometimes motorcycles are very loud, why is this?
1. When starting a motorcycle from cold, there is a slight knocking sound due to a large gap between the piston and the cylinder wall due to cold shrinkage.
But the sound will diminish as the temperature rises.
2. When starting the engine, due to poor lubrication conditions, low lubricating oil pressure, the cylinder wall lubricating oil did not form an oil film, the piston and the cylinder directly touch each other and produce.
When warming up for 3~5 minutes, the normal sound of lubricating oil will also be reduced and disappear.
